Brian Carey

Brian has BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He started shooting wedding photography with fig in 2006, and has fell in love with capturing everything that is involved in a wedding. He has shot weddings and couple’s engagement photos all over the city of Chicago and it’s suburbs. He has also captured weddings throughout the Mid West. His work has been highlighted in CS Brides and Be U Weddings.”My wedding photography is a reflection of the couple’s relationship with each other, and their guests. I ask myself–what emotions, what moments, would I want to have captured at my own wedding (all of them). I like to get as close as I can to all the wedding day action. I look for unique lighting, go for creative angles, and time my shots carefully. I am always looking to advance my style of photography, by capturing images that I will be proud to add to my portfolio of work.” |

Tim Musho

Tim has a BA in Telecommunications from Indiana University. He ws inspired to shoot photography, because it is very similar to cinematography in dealing with visuals. Tim has been shooting wedding photogaphy and wedding films with fig since 2006.Tim’s style is elegant, absolute, structual, and organic. He enjoys capturing the “getting ready” and “photos around the city” portions of a wedding day. The unkown situations that will happen at a wedding, keep him on his shooting toes.”With every wedding my goal is to establish a great connection with the couple and myself (the photographer). I’ve learned that it starts with getting to know the couple, from the first meeting to engagement photos to the wedding and beyond. I want a strong relationship going into the wedding day, and this happens because of all of our contact points that I make. I have fun getting to know my couples.” |

Erica Treais

Erica has a BA in journalism with a design specialization in photography from Michigan State University. She has been shooting weddings with fig since 2011. Erica first started taking photographs in her youth when her grandparents gave her a Polaroid camera. “I don’t think I recognized my passion until high school when I worked with 35mm film in the darkroom. I enjoy documenting people in different social settings; kind of my way of studying how people interact amongst strangers and friends.”Erica’s style is photojournalistic, playful, and i. She enjoys capturing the Bridal Party, the Groom (right before the ceremony), and when people really let loose on the dance floor. One of her favorite weddings was Kate and Gabo at the University Club. “They were a very genuine couple; she was very lively and he was laid back so their energy as a whole had a nice balance. I also had a blast photographing the groomsmen on a trolley before the ceremony.” |
